Rheingau Wine Festival Rheingau vintners will be presenting their fine wines in the "Freßgass´", the charming restaurant and fine foodarea within Frankfurt´s pedestrian shopping zone. More than 600 wines and sparkling wines from the Rheingau region will be tasted at 30 vintner stands.

Frankfurt’s famous apple wine has been the locals’ beverage of choice for over 250 years. The best place to enjoy a glass or two of this delicious cider-like drink is Sachsenhausen, one of Frankfurt’s most popular going-out districts. Apple wine is traditionally served in a blue stone jug, the “bembel”, and drunk from a special ribbed glass. Discover Frankfurt with a tour on the city’s historical and merry streetcar, the “Apple Wine Express”, a favourite among locals and visitors. Afterwards, why not visit a time-honoured apple wine pub for some traditional Frankfurt fare and another glass or two of what the locals lovingly refer to as “the stuff”.
