Frankfurt by bike

Bicycle tour - cyclists in Frankfurt's forestLooking for a healthy alternative to taking the car, bus or train? Well then, how about getting back on the good old bicycle? Frankfurt in particular is an excellent place for hopping back in the saddle. Cyclists, after all, not only save paying parking fees, they also get about much quicker by using bike lanes and pavements during rush hour. Moreover, cyclists are able to circumnavigate Frankfurt’s rather tedious network of one-way streets. Information on cycling in general, bicycle tours and bike paths in and around Frankfurt is available here.

Call-a-bike

Have you ever found yourself urgently requiring a bicycle to get somewhere quickly? Or maybe you have just arrived in town and are looking to hire a bike to get around. Deutsche Bahn’s ingenious call-a-bike service, on offer in major German cities only, enables you to hire one of 770 bicycles per mobile phone quickly and easily. Once you no longer require its services, simply lock it up at any intersection. It’s as simple as that.
