The pyramidal roof is 36.3 meters (119 feet) high. Highest office tower in Europe from 1991 until May 1997. Messeturm's ground floor area is just 41 x 41 meters (135 x 135 feet). Messe Turm is located directly beside the main entrance of the trade fair area. The tower is one of Frankfurt's city landmarks and a symbol of the economic boom. In front of the tower is the famous Hammering Man sculpture. MesseTurm is the second-highest skyscraper in Europe after the Commerzbank Tower. The translation for MesseTurm is "Trade Fair Tower". MesseTurm is directly located on the Frankfurt trade fair grounds along with the Messe Torhaus.
