Dear ladies and gentlemen ,

we are pleased to be able to present you with the fourth and final issue of our Frankfurt Newsletter. Having come to the end of the year, this issue of course concerns itself primarily with our annual event highlight, the Frankfurt Christmas Market, which you may become better acquainted with by way of our special Christmas market tour. Already one of Germany’s most traditional Christmas markets, the Frankfurt Christmas Market has also gained great renown and popularity overseas, as you’ll shortly find out.
Nevertheless, there are many other events and exhibitions remaining this year, not to mention the plethora of special events coming to Frankfurt in 2010. One thing is certain: Your stay in the Main metropolis will be everything but boring, especially during the holiday season.

We hope you enjoy the newsletter and would like to take this opportunity to wish you, your colleagues and your family a very merry Christmas and happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

Seasons greetings,

Thomas Feda
Managing Director

The bistro at Frankfurt’s Senckenberg Museum of Natural History, redesigned in August 2009 and now run by Gerd Käfer and Partners, is a great place to take a break and enjoy a few culinary delights. If you’d like to become better acquainted with Frankfurt am Main but have only an hour to spare, we suggest taking part in a special tour named “Frankfurt Fivesomes”. The tour, which lasts approximately 55 minutes, offers participants a brief look at “Mainhattan”, from its establishment to the present and future. The development of Frankfurt, from its origins as a river ford used by the Franks (hence the historical name of “Franconofurd”) to an international banking and business metropolis, is at the centre of this highly interesting tour. Important milestones of Frankfurt city history and reviews of significant historical figures are also part and parcel of this brief trip through time.

If you are a fan of romantic Christmases, then you’ve definitely come to the right place. The Frankfurt Christmas Market ranks amongst Germany’s oldest and most beautiful Christmas markets. During the holiday season, the Römerberg is transformed into a festive Christmas market, exuding the scents of baked apples, roasted nuts, gingerbread and mulled wine.
