Today, it is one of the most important and successful independent production centres worldwide. The more than 4000qm in the landmark tower of the former Mouson soap factory, house a theatre hall, two studio stages, rehearsal spaces and ateliers, housing for guest artists, and a scene shop. These facilities as well as the close ties to Tanzlabor 21 and the Frankfurt LAB offer excellent conditions for producing and performing and can also be rented for external events.
As a “House of Artists”, our programming and production work emphasizes recurrent exchange with artists, groups and collectives from the contemporary independent scene in Germany, Europe and beyond. The programming focuses strongly on contemporary dance and choreography, as well as performance and innovative international theatre formats by directors, authors, and actors, who are not from the German-speaking regions and whose works facilitate a broader understanding of different, aesthetic forms of expressions or more radical political approaches. Mousonturm moreover also gives space to projects from the fields of contemporary music and visual art, as well as screening films, hosting concerts and presenting installations. In addition, we see the city and the metropolitan region as a stage, a space for interventions and other activities, which we play with on a regular basis and which we seek to explore together with its citizens.

Numerous special wheelchair spaces available.

Stepless access to the building via a separate entrance, located at the rear of the building.

Please inform the staff of guide dogs in advance.

Handicapped parking available at the “Mousonturm” car park.
