Christmas market
Frankfurt's Christmas market is one of the oldest and largest in Germany. Framed by the backdrops of Römerberg and St Paul's Church, the approx. 200 Christmas-decorated stalls extend to the banks of the Main, Stoltze Square and the Hauptwache. Classic items such as Christmas ornaments and decorations or candles are on offer as well as modern arts and crafts.
Flea market
Every 2nd Saturday (holidays excluded) between 9:00 and 14:00 the Frankfurt flea market invites you to "bargain hunting" Osthafhafen 1.
The health and wellbeing of our guests, stand operators and service providers is very important to us. With this in mind, Frankfurt’s Department of Public Health has conceived the following rules of conduct for the Frankfurt Christmas Market with the aim of containing the Covid-19 pandemic as best possible. These rules apply throughout the market and must be observed by all visitors.
Pending on the prevailing situation, the aforementioned regulations may have to be adapted before or during the event (e.g., if infection figures rise or the Hessian Covid-19 Protection Ordinance is amended). Therefore, please make sure to inform yourself on currently applicable regulations prior to your visit.
Thank you very much for your understanding and co-operation.

DetailsA famous market hall in the city of Frankfurt am Main.
The Frankfurt Christmas Market is indeed no ordinary event. Its history has been traced back to 1393, when first reference thereof was made in official documentation. The market was traditionally accompanied by the performance of ecclesiastical mystery plays, which were also held on the Römerberg.
