Travelling and meeting safely in Frankfurt

A wide range of health and safety measures have been put into place throughout Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region to safeguard you as best possible from the Covid-19 virus during your stay with us. Your wellbeing is our top priority, from the moment you arrive at Frankfurt Airport through to your sojourn in our fair city all the way to your departure at the end of your trip. All stations and touchpoints of the Delegate Journey have been optimised to such an extent that you and your event participants can travel and meet in Frankfurt without any worries.

Since 2 April 2022 the Coronavirus Basic Protection Ordinance of the State of Hesse has been in force. This means that corona-related requirements such as access restrictions and strict hygiene and distance rules no longer apply. When it comes to basic protective measures, each person is taking responsibility for not exposing themselves or others to an unreasonable risk of infection.

Welcome to Frankfurt: Arrival at Frankfurt Airport

Awarded the official TÜV seal of quality, “Safe against Covid-19”, all of Frankfurt Airport’s processes have been optimally adapted to deal with the current situation. Numerous hygiene measures have been put into place to protect travellers and airport staff from infection. This includes keeping a minimum distance of 1.5 metres from other people wherever possible. Further measures include contact-free access to security checkpoints and boarding gates as well as ample disinfectant dispensers placed at key contact points throughout the terminals. Wearing a facial mask is recommended.

Returning travellers and arrivals are given the opportunity of taking a PCR or antigen quick test directly at the airport. The test centres are located between Terminal 1 and the long-distance train station. They are easy to find, simply follow the floor markings and signposts.

Depending on the country of origin and the vaccination or recovery status, a negative Covid-19 test result as well as a multiple-day quarantine stay may be a legal requirement for entry into Germany.

As safe and secure as at home: Your hotel stay

Frankfurt’s hotels have implemented a comprehensive hygiene concept that will make you feel as safe and secure as at home. To reduce the risk of infection, disinfection dispensers and increased cleaning intensity so as to ensure even greater cleanliness in all public areas and hotel guest-rooms. To avoid direct hand contact between guests and staff, many hotels have implemented contact-free alternatives for checking in and checking out. Spatial dividers such as Plexiglas windows offer appropriate protection at reception desks and so on.

Your event: Messe Frankfurt and Frankfurt’s event locations

The Frankfurt Fair & Exhibition Centre (Messe Frankfurt) has naturally made sure that the health and wellbeing of visitors, exhibitors, service partners and staff is treated with absolute priority. Their comprehensive concept has seen the implementation of various hygienic, medical and organisational measures, all of which are aimed at safeguarding the health and wellbeing of persons attending the fairgrounds. Contact-free security checkpoints and venue entry as well as electronic admission tickets ensure that direct contact is reduced to an absolute minimum. Moreover, key points of contact are being disinfected much more often. Finally, the fair’s ultra-modern ventilation system allows up to 100% fresh-air supply in all exhibition halls.

Corresponding hygiene measures have been implemented in all other locations in FrankfurtRhineMain as well, thereby guaranteeing the worry-free holding of your event.
