Our guided monastery tours are definitely not the only way to explore Eberbach Monastery. Even already during the Middle Ages, travellers found tranquility, contemplation and catering at the Cistercian abbey Eberbach. Today, we move on with this tradition and do our best to  create a nice and pleasant stay for our visitors at the picturesque monastery. During the times of the Cistercian monks, the buildings were used as farming and barn buildings. Nowadays, the buildings accomodate our hotel with 22 guestrooms, several event locations as well as our "Pfortenhaus" restaurant. Located among the monastery premises, the hotel offers an unique atmosphere and is an ideal starting point to explore Eberbach Monastery on one's own initiative or through a guided tour with or without a wine tasting. The vineyard Eberbach Monastery, which is home to the most modern wine cellar in Europe, is located only a few minutes away on foot and can be visited as well. The famous wines can be purchased at the "Vinothek" at Eberbach Monastery.
