Fourth stop: The “Römer”
The Römer is the premier landmark of Frankfurt, right alongside the city skyline. Whether you’re here on business or pleasure, a visitor or a local – the beautiful Römerberg is a photo opportunity not to be missed.
However, the Römer is not only impressive from the outside. Inside, Emperors’ Hall presents itself as the building’s absolute highlight. But don’t take our word for it: Come in and take a look for yourself. It is open to the public.
And finally, did you know that this patrician house was chosen to become Frankfurt’s city hall way back in 1405? And it has remained the seat of the city’s lord mayor to this very day! With a bit of luck, you might even bump into him during your visit.
