The Dippemess is a colourful folk festival for the whole family, a traditional event looking back on a long and storied past. It is known throughout the entire Rhine-Main region and is at the same time Frankfurt's largest and oldest folk festival.

The Dippemess takes place twice a year. The first edition of the fair is known as the "Spring Dippemess", held around Easter for a duration of approximately three weeks. The second edition is the "Autumn Dippemess", taking place at the beginning of September and lasting just over a week. The festival is held at the large fairground on the Ratsweg, right in front of Frankfurt's ice-sports arena, the "Eissporthalle".
