Autumn Dippemess

The Dippemess is a colourful folk festival for the whole family with a long history. It is known in the region as Frankfurt's largest and oldest folk festival.
The Dippemess takes place twice a year - as 'Spring-Dippemess' around Easter for about three weeks and for about a week as 'Autumn Dippemess' at the beginning of September. It always takes place at the fairground on Ratsweg in front of the ice rink.

Friday: 15:00 to midnight
Saturday: 12:00 to midnight
Sunday: 12:00 to 23:00
Handicapped parking spaces
are located on Ostendstraße in limited numbers.
Please note:
Dogs are not allowed on the event premises.
History of the Dippemess
The Dippemess is a traditional fair that dates back to the 14th century. At that time, the "Maamess", as it was then called, was a mediaeval market proffering domestic articles.
