Lookout Tower

At 47 meters, it is one of the highest late Gothic gate towers in Germany. It was built between 1400 and 1428 by the cathedral master builder Madern Gerthener as a city gate of the late medieval Frankfurt city fortifications.

Today, the now glazed archway houses a café, which opened a few years ago. Events continue to be held in the fireplace room.
